Since April 1958 the “Cantina Sociale Veronese del Garda” has continued its commitment to gradual, constant growth: from just 11 initial members, there are now over 200 who contribute their grapes and bring a harvest from approximately 1,000 hectares of vineyards.

The area of relevance of the company includes the hilly south-east area of Garda Lake and the majority of vineyards falls into the Denomination of Controlled Origin Bardolino, Custoza, Lugana and Bardolino Superiore DOCG areas.

Vineyards are managed observing sustainability principles, for example Integrated Pest Control protocols have been adopted to avoid the use of pesticides.

Spontaneously growing grass is used in all the vineyards to create a habitat rich in biodiversity regarding both plants and animals; methods such as alternating grass cutting between rows of vines create an environment in which insects useful for keeping vine parasites in check can thrive.

Because maintaining biodiversity is fundamental for the territory, to be sustainable and produce top quality grapes it is essential to apply all production methods properly: the technical area of the winery gives advice on precision viticulture, that is to say intervention limited to when and where necessary.

Cantina del Garda called also CDG, in honor of the winery’s historical logo, is the line of products that allows to give credit to the appellation of the area.

Since also the eye wants its part, the design chosen evokes the classic style of Verona in its older forms, but  they can maintain the timeless elegance.A wide variety of products to range and know the city of Love: Verona!
